THE FLOOR LAYING PROCESS

The floor laying process involves a whole host of intricately linked sub-processes. It begins with fixing the form-work precisely to the finished floor level, laying the slip membrane, installing the armoured joints and fixing plate dowels. The next step is critical to the success of flooring operations; checking the concrete for its consistency and making sure that the slump is within the required range. Then comes transporting, spreading and laying the concrete to a rough level. It is only after all these steps have been properly executed, that we start deploying our screeding equipment. Depending on the nature of the project, the screeding equipment could either be a laser screed, a truss screed, or a simple hand screed. Hand tools like highway straightedges are used to further improve the floor levelness and flatness.
